Storytelling is the art to tell stories to engage an audience. The storyteller conveys a message, information and knowledge, in an entertaining way. Stories have always been a part of our lives. Literary techniques and non-verbal language are storytelling tools—photos, pictures, and film can tell a good story too. We will focus on storytelling as a part of your marketing strategy to influence audiences during this session.You can tell stories to potential customers and persuade your target audiences to start using your services.

11:15 – 12:30 – Juha Iso-Aho, Pekka Vartiainen. Hands-on workshop: examples, discussions, group work and exploring own possibilities. Only for EDUCRO project participants.
About experts:
Pekka Vartiainen, PhD, Principal lecturer at Humak. Pekka is an expert in creative writing, literature and cultural management.
Juha Iso-Aho, lecturer and project manager at Humak. Juha has experience in managing multiple RDI projects related to storytelling, event production, the creative economy and cultural tourism. He has been a member of various networks related to culture and creative industries and a chairman for cultural working group in the Regional Council of South-Karelia.
